Sean - do you have a fresh-water or sea-water cooled engine? It's just that the 325/335s have calorifiers where the fresh water is used to heat up the calorifier coil.

I wasn't aware that a sea-water cooled engine could be so modified; but if you have one it could be useful information for the web site maintenance page.

hi don,
yep it is the yaanmar 1gm10 i have fitted but when the boat was new it was specced with the martec conversion kit to make it fresh water cooled.
And speaking as an ex marine engineer i am very impressed with it, its a good quality bit of kit.

Tom - first time I've heard of anyone in the PSSA fitting a marinized Kubota engine from Beta marine.

The fact that it is water cooled should simplify things. Have you spoken to Beta Marine? They may have fitments to aid the connection to a calorifier?

Hi Don,Surprised To Hear Beta Engines Are Rare In PSSA.The Two Super Seals In Our Club Have 13.5HP Betas. Our Local Boatyard Is The Main Agent For Beta In Ireland.I Would Say Most Reengine Jobs On The South And West Coasts Of Ireland Use Beta. Regards Tom.

Hi Tom - only 4 other members have declared they have Beta engines. I guess having your local Boatyard being the main agent for Beta could have an influence in your area. [;)]
