Update from Clifford
So far we are:

  • Superseal 27/131 "Maybe", joining from Eastbourne. Nick Hallings-Pott + Arthur Richards.
  • Parker 275/58 "Abacus". Clifford Miller & Graeme Lindsay (latter has 325/ Mayflower). Joining Fareham for Rally saturday then Gosport (Haslar) for Sun eve and early start Monday for Brighton.
  • Parker 285/72 "Sunflower". Mike & Jenny Mead. Joining Fareham for Rally on Saturday.
  • Parker "Nosey". John Clack and ? Thelma. Joining ?

Subject to the weather, the plan remains as on the flier . I plan to head through the Looe Channel at Selsey where the pilot book says tide turns East at Dover + 0445 which for Monday 17th BST Dover 0128 + 0445 = 0618.

I have found at Brighton Marina , it pays to drop the sails when you are behind the breakwater as it can be choppy outside.

At Rye Harbour Master advises arrival half an hour before High water to avoid the stronger tides. Almanac gives +/- 2 hours HW. "
