Arrangements for the Yarmouth Rally as follows:-
We have booked 15 boats on the Harold Hayles walk-ashore pontoon in Yarmouth Harbour for Sat 14th September.
The weekend overnight mooring rate at Hayles is £23 for 20’-25’ OAL, £28 for 25’-30’ OAL and £33 for 30’-35’. This includes full use of the Yarmouth Harbour showers (walk over bridge or use dinghy), electricity (not guaranteed) & water. We will be rafting on the pontoons.
Hayles would prefer payment in advance as their office is only open until 1200 on Saturdays. Please phone the office, 01983-760373, and make your own arrangements to pay if not planning to arrive until after midday. Please also contact Hayles direct if you would like to extend your stay either side of the Saturday.
As a reminder for those who haven’t visited Yarmouth for a while, the harbour master still meets each boat as it enters the harbour and you will need to inform him that you have a mooring booked at Harold Hayles.
Unfortunately, Yarmouth SC are unable to accommodate us for a BBQ at their club on the Saturday evening so we are now planning a BBQ on Yarmouth beach. There are 4 waist-high steel BBQ platforms that are purpose-built for mounting disposable BBQs with wooden bench seating positioned around each BBQ location. Please bring your own BBQs, food, and drinks.
The beach is accessible by walking (700m) or dinghy (100m) from the Hayles pontoon.
If the weather is unsuitable for BBQs on the day we will endeavor to book a pub in Yarmouth.
Pimms and nibbles on the pontoon adjacent to Indianna at 5pm and suggest we BBQ from around 6pm.
We need to give Hayles a list of boats and their lengths 7-10 days before the rally. If you would like to join us please therefore let us know, by email or WhatsApp, your boat name & OAL by Friday 6th September (contact details in the handbook).
