Notice of Race

Depending up conditions one of the following courses be used:

Course 1: RIOW Course

• Starting Line: Between the mast of the Committee Boat and Poole Bell racing mark 50°41.3'N, 1°31.5'W.
• From the Starting Line to the Western Cardinal at The Bridge located at 50°39.0'N, 1° 37'W leaving the cardinal to port.
• To St Catherine's Point leaving to port
• To Bembridge Ledge East Cardinal located at 50° 41.2'N, 1° 03'W leaving the cardinal to port.
• Finishing Line: Between the mast of the Committee Boat and Norris Castle Turret 50°45.8'N, 1°17.2'W.

Course 2: Solent Course

• Starting Line: Between the mast of the Committee Boat and Poole Bell racing mark 50°41.3'N, 1°31.5'W.
• To North Ryde Middle port hand channel marker buoy located at 50°46.6'N, 1°14.3'W leaving the marker to starboard.
• To No Mans Land Fort 50°44.4'N, 1°05.7'W leaving the fort to starboard. (This may be omitted if wind strength is very low)
• Finishing Line: Between the mast of the Committee Boat and Norris Castle Turret 50°45.8'N, 1°17.2'W.

Classes

Class 1 shall comprise yachts with a handicap of 1000 or greater as determined by the handicapping method published on the PSSA web site.

Class 2 shall comprise yachts with a handicap of 999 or less as determined by the handicapping method published on the PSSA web site.

Entry

The entry form shall be submitted to the Sailing Secretary no later than seven days before the start of the race. The intended sail plan shall be stated on the entry form. Changes to the sail plan may be made up until 24 hours before the start of the race provided it does not have the effect of changing the class.

Berthing

No berthing arrangements have been made for Friday night. Arrangements have been at Shepherds Wharf Marina, West Cowes for Saturday night.
