Mid-week rallies
May, June, July 2009
Those with the time to sail mid-week are invited to join some mid-week rallies when the sea and the venues are less crowded.
The ones planned for the first part of the summer are:

Follow on from Worbarrow Bay rally (June 6th and 7th), or join at Poole Harbour Mon 8th (Wareham for lunch) and/or Christchurch
Tues 8th.
Update 1st June: My plans have changed as Abacus now hoping to head west from Worbarrow Bay (6th/7th June)
for 2 months in the West Country. However suggest Wareham and Christchurch still a nice option so please let me or Steve
Drew know if you plan to do these so "in company" can be co ordinated.

The weather looks good for the rally and Shemar hopes to arrive by lunchtime and will probably moor up the starboard branch
of the harbour. All those attending are welcome to join us for drinks on Shemar at 6.00.pm. and, with the tide up, we will
then dinghy ashore and walk to the New Inn at Shalfleet for a meal.
If you plan to attend the rally, please let me know either on my mobile or email me. The fall back plan if things
turn really nasty is to go up the Medina to the pontoons opposite the Folly Inn and take the ferry ashore for a meal there.
I will be listening on VHF channel 77 on the day.

This will be a loose rally filling in the days between Newtown on the 8th/9th Aug and and
finishing on Friday 15th at the Round the Island start point in Cowes.
Dependent on conditions, it may range between Swanage, Poole, Christchurch and the Solent inlets. If you would like to join
in for the whole or part, ask John for a copy of his possible day and overnight anchorages, rendezvous etc.
